Jennifer Makumbi

Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi (f. Uganda, 1967) bur i Manchester, er forfattar og skriv romanar og noveller.

Nansubuga Makumbi fekk fleire prisar for debutboka Kintu, ein roman som skildrar Ugandas historie gjennom familien i Kintu-klanen. For novella "Lets Tell This Story Properly" vann ho Commonwealth Short Story Prize i 2014.

I 2018 blei Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi tildelt Windham-Campbell Prize for Fiction. Ho har ein doktorgrad frå Lancaster University og har undervist i kreativ skriving og engelsk i ti år ved britiske universitet.
