From fire to ashes

Artist, author, journalist and dramatist Madame Nielsen published Lamento last year as the final novel in her romantic trilogy, following Den endeløse sommeren (2015) and Det høyeste vesen (2017).

A young couple only just manage to escape a fire they have been partly responsible for starting. We follow them from intense passion until their relationship is reduced to ashes, as told in the first person by a woman many years later.

Madame Nielsen has previously been known in many guises, which all have a past as author Claus Beck-Nielsen.
