Madame Nielsen

Madame Nielsen (b 1963, Denmark) is an author, musician and multiartist. 

Her novel Lamento appeared in 2021 as the final volume in a romantic trilogy which began with Den endeløse sommeren in 2015. Madame Nielsen’s critically acclaimed and exploratory authorship also includes the horror novel The Monster from 2019.

Her artistic and authorial voice has its origins in earlier identities and names such as Das Beckwerk and Helge Billie, and it all started with the acclaimed dramatist Claus Beck-Nielsen. Madame Nielsen started as a performance artist in 2000 and has show herself overall to be a diverse, surprising and challenging artist in literature, music, theatre, performance art, video and photography, political activism and more.
