Martin Paulsen

Hans Jørgen Brun

Martin Paulsen (b 1978, Norway) is a researcher and translator. 

He did his PHD in Russian at the University of Bergen in 2009. From 2009 to 2016 he has worked as a lecturer, researcher and administrator at the University of Bergen.  In 2022 he began working as the head of the Department of Foreign Languages at the University of Bergen. His research was primarily involved with the development of Russia, the Ukraine and Belarus after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Paulsen has translated texts such as Pønkebønn (2013), om Pussy Riot, and in 2022 he translated the Ukrainian author Oksana Zabuzjko’s book Min lengst reise.
