Hilde Kvalvaag

Hilde K. Kvalvaag (b 1968, Norway) is an author, journalist and editor.

She studied social anthropology at the University of Bergen and works at the faculty of art, music and design at the University of Bergen.

Kvalvaag debuted with her young adult fiction novel Hjarteklapp in 2003. She later wrote for both young adults and adults. She was awarded the Brage prize for her young adult novel Fengsla (2010). In 2008 she released her first novel for adults Skagerrak for which she won the Samlags prize. The novel Djuphavsslettene was released in 2021.

 Many of her books have been translated into German.
