Alice Oswald

Alice Oswald (b 1966, U.K.) is a poet and is currently Professor of Poetry at Oxford University.

She was trained as a classicist at New College, University of Oxford.

Oswald is considered one of the most significant contemporary poets in Great Britain. She has published eleven poetry collections, the first being The Thing in the Gap-Stone Stile in 1996. Oswald has been the recipient of numerous awards. Her poetry collection Nobody (Ingen) was translated into Norwegian and published in 2021.
