Grandchildren’s view of the Second World War (digital)

Simon Stranger is author of the novel Leksikon om lys og mørke, while Marte Michelet has written the non-fiction books Den største forbrytelsen and Hva visste hjemmefronten? They want to explain how Norwegians betrayed their Jewish compatriots in the Second World War.

How can a true story like this be presented through a novel, and how do you investigate a subject few people want illuminated? Did two generations have to pass before Norway was ready for these stories from the war? Michelet og Stranger meet professor and Holocaust Centre director Guri Hjeltnes for a conversation about hero-worship, betrayal and evil.
