Sara Marielle Gaup

Sara Marielle Gaup (b 1983, Norway) is a traditional and modern yoiker, and is known from her participation in the Adjágas group and in the Arvvas duo with Steinar Raknes. 

She is also involved with Sami handicrafts and has been a vocal advocate for Sami environmental and legal rights. Beaska played a key role in the Sami alliance during the 2016 protests at Standing Rock in the USA. She was awarded the Áillohaš Prize at the 2018 Sami Song Contest in Guovdageaidnu (Kautokeino).
