Maria Navarro Skaranger

Maria Navarro Skaranger (b 1994, Norway) is an author resident in Oslo. Her debut novel Alle utlendingar har lukka gardiner (2015) won the First Book Award and was nominated for the Tarjei Vesaas First Book Award, both in 2015. 

Her critically acclaimed novel Bok om sorg (Fortellingen om Nils i skogen), published in 2018, won the Oslo Prize that year and the EU Literature Prize in 2020. Navarro Skaranger was awarded the Bjørnson Prize in 2019.
