Poetic Sauna – Heat for the Body, Stories for the Soul

Welcome to our monthly concept where the warmth of the sauna meets the depth of storytelling. In January and February, texts from this year’s Bergen LitFest authors will be included in the program as part of Litfest Bydel and on Sunday Feb 8 we will be joined by festival guest, the Kenyan author Wanjiru Koinange!

What to Expect

Poetic Sauna is curated by members of Female Minority Voices and features poetry, personal texts, reflections, and storytelling by and for women with minority backgrounds. The readings set the atmosphere, with breaks for rest and cooling between sessions. This is a shared space. Together we will listen, respond, and build resonance around the themes carried in the words spoken aloud — everyone is welcome! Poetic Sauna is conducted in English and is a colaboration with Laugaren.
