The battle for the climate in literature

In 2022 it was sixty years since Rachel Carson published Silent Spring, which became a classic, and is considered the literary starting point of the battle for the environment. What does this book mean for authors who take their environmental concern with them into their writing process? Brit Bildøen has published several books in which the environment and nature are central features; most recently Gult farevarsel (Yellow Hazard Warning). She meets Anne Karin Sæther, author of Må vi slutte med olje? (Must we stop using oil?), in a conversation about how the battle for focus on the environment and climate features in literature.

In collaboration with the climate festival Varmere, våtere, villere (Warmer, wetter, wilder).

The event will be in Norwegian.
