Erlend Loe has written a book about escaping from the real world to the imagination. Drømmenes sykkelregister is about Solveig who doesn't feel particularly successful in everyday life. After her bicycle is stolen in her own dream world, she disappears further and further into an imaginary reality that eventually takes complete control of her life.
