Zaffar Kunial

Zaffar Kunial (b 1972, United Kingdom) is a British poet. He published a pamphlet in the Faber New Poets series in 2014 and has been Poet-in-Residence at the Wordsworth Trust and at the Bronte Parsonage. In 2011 he won third prize in the National Poetry Competition with ‘Hill Speak’.

Us, his first poetry collection, published in 2018, deals with themes related to the frustration and anger of identity issues. Kunial was the recipient of the William Campbell Prize for poetry in 2022.
