Terje Isungset

Terje Isungset (b 1964, Norway) is a musician (drummer and percussionist) and composer.

He has been active as a musician since the beginning of the eighties and has worked with musical genres such as jazz and folk music, and a special combination of both in con­tem­porary improvisation. Isungset has released ten albums, played on several others and composed many commissioned pieces.

Isungset is known for using unconventional materials as instruments such as wooden logs, stone and ice. The project Ice Music has been Isungset’s primary focus since 1999.
