Gabriela Wiener

Gabriela Wiener (b 1975, Peru) is a poet, author, chronicler and journalist who has lived in Madrid, Spain, since 2003.

She studied literature and linguistics at Universidad Católica de Lima and earned her master’s degree in Historic Culture Communications in Barcelona.

Wiener served as editor-in-chief of the Spanish Marie Claire and left the position in 2014 to write her first book. She continues to contribute essays and chronicles to Spanish and Peru­vian newspapers and magazines.

Wiener’s best-known book, Sexographies, is a collection of honest reflections on sexuality. Her latest novel is Huaco retrato (2021).

Her books have been translated into English, Portuguese, Polish, French and Italian.
