Frode Helmich Pedersen

Frode Helmich Pedersen (b 1976, Norway) is a Professor of Nordic Literature at the University of Bergen, a literary critic and an author.

For many years he has been a literary reviewer on the newspapers Bergens Tidende and Morgenbladet, and has engaged in debate and writing in other areas of society. He has a seat on the editorial board of the journals Prosopopeia, Vagant and Vinduet, and has for many years been an instructor at the Academy of Writing in Hordaland. He is also a perma­nent member of the literary criticism forum “Kritisk kvartett” at the House of Literature, Bergen. 

In 2021, he had an essay collection, Splinten i øyet, published and in 2022 Forfølgelsen av Julian Assange, a collaboration with Gisle Selnes, came out.

In 2021, he was Literary Critic of the year in the Norwegian Critics’ Society.
