Charlotte Weitze

Charlotte Weitze (b 1974, Denmark) is a Danish author and playwright.

Weitz grew up in Kongens Lyngby north of Copenhagen, and now lives in Vallekilde on West Zealand. She received her master in folkloristics from the University of Copenhagen.

She was the recipient of the Danish debutant prize for her debut short story collection Skifting in 1996. Her latest publication is the novel Rosarium from 2021. Weitz writes on the border between realism and fantasy and has been likened to Blixen, Murakami and Kafka.
