Bjørn Hallvard Samset

Bjørn Hallvard Samset (b 1977, Norway) is a physicist, climate researcher and author. With a PhD in particle physics from the University of Oslo, he is a senior researcher at the Cicero centre for climate research.

He is also an author for the UN’s intergovernmental panel on climate change, and a writer and commentator in Norwegian media. Samset has published several books as a science populariser, including Lys in 2018 and most recently 2070 (2021).
