365 PENGUINS with Open Window Theatre, saturday 1 (cancelled)

Imagine getting a knock on your door one day and being handed  a parcel with your name on it. You open it and find – a penguin. Not a toy, but a real, life penguin. Imagine that happening 365 times …

A family struggles through a year with an ever growing number of unwelcome guests. Maths can help cope with this chaos – counting, sorting and organising. And good collaboration can solve problems which appear insurmountable.

This figure-theatre production surprises through its abstract, metaphorical and visually innovative form. It presents maths in an interesting way, and the world and nature through the child’s own eyes.

Director: Radosław Kasiukiewicz; Scenography, puppets and graphic design: Klaudia Laszczyk; Music: Mari Kvien Brunvoll; Animation: Anna Maria Šalva; Technical: Jon Eirik Sira; On stage and producer: Dominika Minkacz-Sira.

Based on the book 365 Penguins by Jean-Luc Fromental and Joëlle Jolivet.

Suitable for ages from five to 365.
