22 July a decade later

Ten years have passed since the day in 2011 which all Norwegians remember. Most of us can recall where we were and what it was like to wake up the day after, learn the incomprehensibly high number of dead and injured, and not know how to continue.

In Stemmene etter 22. juli, professor Ingvild Folkvord has investigated the various linguistic responses to the terrorist atrocity, with voices as her starting point – poetic, broadcast, courtroom and non-fiction. Do these voices say something about the society which the perpetrator wanted to destroy? And how can our language grapple with what happened?

This event will be in Norwegian.
