Vendela Vida

Vendela Vida (b 1971, USA) is an award-winning American novelist and editor based in northern California. She is the author of six novels, including Let the Northern Lights Erase Your Name, The Lovers, and The DIver’s Clothes Lie Empty. Her new novel, We Run the Tides, will be published in February 2021.

Vida is the founding co-editor of the Believer magazine, editor of The Believer Book of Writers Talking to Writers, and a founding board member of 826 Valencia, the San Francisco writing center for youth. She is currently editing an anthology of Swedish literature to be published in English.
