Per Buvik

Per Buvik (b 1945, Norway) is an author, dr.philos and professor emeritus affiliated with the department of linguistic, literary and aesthetic studies at the University of Bergen.

His Norwegian publications include Dekadanse (2001), Georges Bataille (1998) and Sjalusi uten grenser. Litterære dybdeboringer fra Evripides til Vigdis Hjorth (2018).

He has also published a number of books in France as well as a great many journal articles, and has been co-editor of Norsk Litteraturvitenskapelig Tidsskrift. Buvik’s translation of Annie Ernaux's Mémoire de fille is due to be published in January 2019.
