Bookshop and signings
Boksalongen (the Book Lounge) is the independent bookshop at the Bergen House of Literature.
Here you will find a broad and carefully curated selection of quality literature and a comprehensive range of local authors from western Norway. Boksalongen has a large English-language section, including Norwegian authors in translation, and a big selection of low-priced and sustainable second-hand books.
LitFestBergen offers a good opportunity to get acquainted with new authors, topics and literature from the whole world. You’ll be able to buy relevant works in Boksalongen both before and during the festival.
Authors will be signing their books throughout the festival in the Fosse-stova. Located next door to Boksalongen, this room is named after author Jon Fosse. An overview of signings for each author will be provided.
Drop by Boksalongen and follow us on social media to keep updated about what’s happening in the building and what books we are recommending.
Boksalongen also has sofas where you can read, hang out with friends or on the web, and enjoy a coffee from the Colonialen cafe and brasserie.
