Solplomme (Sun Plums): musical-poetic performance

Can author Anna Kleiva and musician Vilde Tuv create summer in February?

Based on midsummer myths and traditions, Kleiva and Tuv have composed a musical-poetic work in which poems and electronic music complement  and counter each other. In a dark winter, they want to make the midsummer night open up, the flowers sprout and the bonfire burn. What future do we glimpse?

The work is inspired by nature and the text addresses issues of climate, community and upheaval. The poem is followed by a soundscape in which synthesised music, flutes and vocals meet mountains and rainstorms in intense electronic music.

This performance will be in Norwegian.
