Margreth Olin

Margreth Olin (b. 1970, Norway) is a Norwegian film producer and director as well as author.
She is mostly known for her work on documentaries, in which she explores themes about the marginalized in the community. She has received many international and national awards for her work including - The Regional Jury Award, International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, Prague (2020), Human Values Award, Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival, Greece (2020), Audience Award, Biografilm Festival, Italy (2020) and Norwegian Film of the Year, Oslo Prize by Natt&dag (2020)
She studied at the University of Bergen and Volda University College.
Her latest book Song til mor published in 2024, is a love song written to her own mother, while grieving her loss.
