New Norwegian voices
Although the three Norwegian authors Sandra Lillebø, Monica Isakstuen and Eivind Riise Hauge are well known to the Norwegian public, none of their books have been translated into English.
Monica Isakstuen has published a number of critically acclaimed novels in which rage is strongly present. Sandra Lillebø has published two poetry collections and a novel. In her most recent novel she thematises her impossible relationship with her mother, who is clearly mentally ill without having been given an official diagnosis. Eivind Riise Hauge has published both fiction and non-fiction books, and also works as a librarian at the Bergen prison. In his most recent novel he has an inmate tell his own story.
These three authors will be interviewed by Daniel Medin and afterwards there will be time for questions from the audience.
