Grethe Fatima Syéd (b 1968, Norway) is a literary scholar, author and translator.

After completing her PhD at the University of Bergen based on the literary career of Olav Duun, she published Olav Duun: Kunsten, døden og kjærlighetens dikter in 2015. As a translator, she has produced Norwegian versions of works by several of the 20th century’s greatest Anglophone writers, including Seamus Heaney, Gertrude Stein and Henry James. 

Her literary debut came in 2021 with the novel Eventyr for voksne. In 2021 in collaboration with Kjersti Sandvik, she wrote Hva snakker vi om når vi snakker om abort?
