Dayal Patterson

Dayal Patterson (b 1981, United Kingdom) is a British non-fiction writer, designer and photo­grapher.

He earned his BA Honours in Photography from the London College of Communication.

He began his career in writing through a self-published music journal entitled Crypt Magazine. Patterson began writing professionally in 2005 and has been a regular contributor to magazines like Metal Hammer, Record Collector, The Quietus, Terrorizer and Decibel.

Patterson has written three books about Black Metal: Black Metal: Evolution of the Cult; Black Metal: The Cult Never Dies Vol. One; and Black Metal: Into the Abyss
