Dusting off a classic – Gro Holm: De hvite kull
Professor Eirik Vassenden takes a new look at Gro Holm’s De hvite kull, the 1936 novel about hydropower development, which Mikkjel Fønhus wanted to have printed in a million copies to teach Norwegians the massive damage being inflicted on nature by industrialisation. The book has long been gathering dust, but rising electricity prices make it more topical than ever – with a plot which includes cynical lawyers and French energy speculators.
The event will be in Norwegian.
