Yunyun Zhou

Yunyun Zhou is a researcher and senior lecturer at the University of Oslo. She has a Master’s degree in Sociology and a PhD in Contemporary Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford.  She has been a visiting scholar at Peking University and Paris 8 University, and taught political sociology and qualitative research methods at Science Po in Paris. She positions herself as a fieldwork based researcher working at the intersection of political sociology, gender studies and cultural studies, with a critical and interdisciplinary approach to the study of contemporary Chinese politics, society and culture.
