Mercedes Halfon

Mercedes Halfon (b 1980, Argentina) has studied Arts in Universidad de Buenos Aires, and a Master in Creative Writing in UNTREF.

She is a cultural journalist and theatre critic and has won the Premio Estímulo Prize from TEA for graphic journalism. She has also curated the theatre series Invocaciones, at the Centro Cultural San Martín. She writes in the cultural supplement Radar in Página/12 and is working on a documentary feature about poetry in Buenos Aires.

She has published short stories, a novel in collaboration, and poetry books such as Tres Islas (Determinado Rumor, 2011), Hebilla de pasto (Vox, 2012) and Un fuego cualquiera (2015, Neutrinos). In 2017 she published her first novel: El trabajo de los ojos (Editorial Entropía).
