Kristina Quintano

Kristina Quintano (b 1975, Norway) is a journalist and publisher in Quintano Forlag, and ranks as the world’s only translator from Maltese to Norwegian.

Quintano sits on the freelance committee of the Norwegian Non-Fiction Writers and Translators Association (NFFO), the committee for the Non-Fiction Festival and the boards of the Salam Lebanese Association for Development and Communication (LADC ) and Team Humanity Norway. 

She also produces the Facebook blog Budbringeren fra Helvete, which provides daily updates on the refugee crisis around the Mediterranean. Supported by Fritt Ord, it averages 100 000 hits per day. 

Over the past five years, Quintano has given more than 80 speeches on refugees. She also teaches ethics and documentation to journalism students at the Oslo Metropolitan University.
