Eirin Eikefjord

Eirin Eikefjord (b 1981, Norway) is the political editor of Bergens Tidende. With a law degree from the University of Bergen, she has been on the paper’s permanent staff since 2008, holding such roles as business developer, journalist and commentator.

When Eikefjord received the language prize from the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NTB) in 2017, the jury gave emphasis to her unique ability to write readably about serious and complex subjects. She received the Gold Pen award from the Society for the Preservation of the Dano-Norwegian Language in October 2020 for being a clear and distinctive voice in the national and west Norwegian debate on social issues.
