Dave Eggers

Dave Eggers (b. 1970, USA) is an American author and journalist based in San Francisco. He is the author of many novels and works of nonfiction, including The Circle, A Hologram for the King, What Is the What, Zeitoun, and A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.

He is the co-founder of a number of nonprofit organizations, including 826 National, Voice of Witness, the Valentino Achak Deng Foundation, and ScholarMatch. He has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award and is the winner of the American Book Award and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize.
