Ane Hem

Ane Hem (b 1979, Norway) is a court artist, writer and designer. She has worked with text, graphics, visual expression and illustrations for a number of Norwegian news desks, including NTB, Aftenposten and Klassekampen. Hem studied drawing at Escola Joso in Barcelona and aesthetics and comparative literature at the University of Oslo.

She made her literary debut in 2020 with Et spørsmål om skyld, presenting her personal reflections on the Norwegian legal system. This book received good reviews, and Klassekampen described it as a literary experience, “as exciting as a crime novel” and a “contribution to the discussion on the ability of non-fiction to create debate without flouting moral or legal boundaries”.
