Access

The festival takes place at Litteraturhuset i Bergen (the Bergen House of Literature), which is at Østre Skostredet 5-7 in the city centre.

Litteraturhuset has its own entrance on Østre Skostredet, with stairs up to the entrance door, and another in Vestre Skostredet. The latter provides step-free access, with a ramp and automated door.

All the rooms on the ground floor of Litteraturhuset are accessible for wheelchairs, with ramps where necessary. The lift in the corridor takes you to the first floor, where all the festival rooms are also accessible for wheelchairs.

Contact us in advance to reserve space for a wheelchair and possible accompanying person or if you want a neckloop for a hearing aid.

Bybanen line 1 stops at Byparken, about 300–400 meter (4–6 mins walk) from Litteraturhuset. Several buslines stop at Torget (4 mins walk away) or at Olav Kyrres gate (ca. 300 meters).
