Reading Banned Books Aloud (Sunday)

The banning of books has been a tool of oppression and control throughout history, and we know that the control of information can be detrimental to society’s well-being.

Every day of the festival (Wednesday to Sunday) LitFestBergen’s International Book Club will read excerpts from a variety of books that have been banned somewhere in the world during some time period.

There will also be time for a short discussion of each example. Join them in the LitFestBergen office and café and join in on the cry for freedom of expression!
