Literary date

Christian Ringnes is a Norwegian businessman, art collector and philanthropist, who also made his debut as an author in 2025 with an autobiography. Erna Solberg is leader of the Conservative Party and former Prime Minister of Norway.

The two meet for a conversation about what literature means to them, what they read when they were growing up, and what they turn to when life gets difficult. Which poems can they recite by heart? Which literary experiences have left the deepest impression on them, and why? Have they found comfort in literature, have they felt understood? And which book would they give each other as a gift? We will find out the answers to these questions and more when the two meet for a literary rendezvous hosted by Solveig Kloppen.
