Life, Literature and Betrayal – Bergen Prison

What connects inmates at Bergen and Bjørgvin prisons with the festival theme of betrayal? Through its project “Literature for Inclusion”, LitFestBergen allows people who do not usually have a voice on stage to give the audience an insight into what life is like for them.

Author and prison librarian Eivind Riise Hauge and writing teacher and author Annette Mattsson have collaborated with LitFestBergen on organizing writing courses for inmates for a number of years. Some of the course participants will join Riise Hauge at the festival to present the results of the project they have been working on throughout the autumn and winter.
