Korean Feminism
Translator and feminist author Bora Chung will give a talk about the state of the feminist movement in Korea and how this is expressed in literature.
Across the globe there are still many issues concerning women’s rights and their security that are left to fight for. Which of these issues are relevant in contemporary Korean society? What are the most pressing difficulties that women in Korea face, and how do new laws and regulations adopted in other places influence or encourage women in South Korea?
Bora Chung will discuss all this and more during her talk.
The event will be held in English.
