Death – a Betrayal?

Can death be experienced as a betrayal of life? Whether dying from illness or by one’s own choice, what does it mean for how those left behind experience it? Television host Solveig Kloppen has spoken openly about her sister’s suicide. Journalist and author Kjartan Brügger Bjånesøy writes about encounters with death – including that of his own father – in his new book Den siste vakten [The Final Watch].

The two meet musician, journalist and author Eduardo “Doddo” Andersen for a conversation about life and death. Andersen himself has been seriously ill with cancer and has written about how it affected his relationship with death, including in the book Hei, døden [Hello, Death].
