Wolfgang Hottner
Wolfgang Hottner (b. 1987, Germany) is a literary critic and theorist.
He is currently professor at the Department of Comparative Literature at the University of Bergen.
He studied literature, art history and philosophy in Munich and at Berkeley and Yale.
He has been a visiting scholar in the University of Tokyo’s Department of German (2019), a research fellow at IFK in Vienna (2021), as well as a fellow at Klassik Stiftung in Weimar (2022) and at the research cluster Temporal Communities at Freie Universität Berlin (2023).
He is leader of the interdisciplinary research group Contemporary Aesthetics.
