Wanjiru Koinange

Wanjiru Koinange (b. 1986, Kenya) is an author, library restoration specialist, and entrepreneur.
Her debut novel The Havoc of Choice, written in 2019, has been hailed as a poignant account of the fallout from the 2007 Kenyan election. She has contributed to journals across the African continent, and through her work was inspired to start Book Bunk, a non-profit foundation that restores Nairobi’s old libraries.
Koinange earned a Bachelor in Journalism and Literature from United States International University, and later a Master in Creative Writing from Cape Town University in South Africa.
