Unni Eikeseth

Unni Eikeseth (b. 1974, Norway) is a Norwegian chemist, science journalist, and non-fiction writer.

Eikeseth graduated with an MSc in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bergen in 1998.

She wrote the book Finding Places: The Search for the Brain’s GPS, which explains the ground-breaking discovery of the cells that constitute the brain’s positioning system.

She has previously worked as a doctoral research fellow at NTNU (1998–2001), as a science journalist and TV host at the Norwegian broadcasting corporation (NRK) (2002–09, 2010–15), and as a teacher at Trondheim Cathedral School (2009–10). She was the head of the Norwegian Organization for Science Journalism in 2014–15. Currently, Eikeseth works as a lecturer of chemistry and chemistry/science didactics at the Department of Teacher Education at NTNU.
