Martin Bech Holte

Martin Bech Holte (b. 1979, Norway) is an author and economist with experience as both a researcher and a leader in the business sector. He was a guest researcher at Harvard University.
Holte studied economics at the Norwegian School of Economics from 1998 to 2003. He obtained his PhD in Economics from Stockholm University from 2003 to 2008.
In January 2025 he published the book Landet som ble for rikt [The Country That Got too Rich], which interrogates Norway’s economic stagnation and its possible causes and implications.
