Maja Gudim Burheim

Maja Gudim Burheim (b. 1986, Norway) is a Norwegian project manager and communications advisor for Norsk PEN, the Norwegian branch of the worldwide freedom of expression organization PEN International. She works on projects related to freedom of expression, remembrance work, and democratic citizenship.
She has a Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Oslo (UiO), a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the Oslo and Akershus University College, and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Oslo.
Burheim worked for many years as a senior advisor and project manager at the 22 July Centre and on Utøya island.
Burheim is a trained journalist and historian with extensive experience in communicating issues related to democracy, remembrance and reconciliation work, extremism, and political violence.
