Ignacia Godoy

Ignacia Godoy is a Chilean editor of Abismo and a writer of fiction.

She holds a Master in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and a Master in Creative Writing from Lancaster University (UK). She teaches at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Universidad Andrés Bello, and the artistic centres Balmaceda Arte Joven and Autoras Librería. She has collaborated with artists such as Morag Moyerscough and Jocelyn Zavala, among others.

Her writings have been published in magazines and collections in various countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Chile. She published her first book, La mujer que susurraba a las plantas [The Woman Who Whispered to Plants] (2021), which was co-written with Jocelyn Zavala and published by La Secta and Queltehue Ediciones. She later published Cuerpos Invisibles [Invisible Bodies] (2021) with Queltehue Ediciones, a book selected for the Chile 2025–26 shortlist for translation into German and presentation at the Frankfurt Book Fair. In 2027 she will publish a short-story collection through Desastre Natural.
