Hilde Kvalvaag
Hilde K. Kvalvaag is trained as a social anthropologist at the University of Bergen and is also an art and expressive arts therapist. Kvalvaag works with people with psychotic disorders at Betanien Hospital and Sandviken Hospital.
She made her literary debut in 2003 with the young adult novel Hjarteklapp. She has since written for both young adults and adults. She received the Brage Prize for the young adult novel Fengsla (2010). In 2008, she published her first novel for adults, Skagerrak, for which she was awarded the Samlaget Prize. Her novel Djuphavsslettene was published in 2021.
Several of her books have been translated into German.
