Hege Cathrine Finholt

Hege Cathrine Finholt (Norway) is a Norwegian academic, ethicist and writer, known for her work in philosophy, ethics and human rights. She is currently an associate professor at MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society, and also holds positions at the University of Oslo (UiO).

Her research and publications deal with topics such as freedom of expression, criticism of religion, gender perspectives in academia, and the ethics of war.

Finholt is an active social debater and writer, who often contributes opinion pieces to newspapers such as Aftenposten and Vårt Land.

She has held positions in the Norwegian Association of Researchers, including as chair and financial officer at the Norwegian Armed Forces Joint Services.
