Gunnhild Øyehaug
Gunnhild Øyehaug (b. 1975, Norway) is an author and a teacher at the writing school Skrivekunstakademiet in Bergen. She was previously co-editor of the journals Kraftsentrum and Vagant and a literary critic at Morgenbladet and Klassekampen.
Øyehaug has written the screenplays for a feature film and a short film, and her books have been published in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and elsewhere. Her short-story collection Knutar [Knots: Stories] and her novel Vente, blinke [Wait, Blink: A Perfect Picture of Inner Life] which won the National Book Award in 2018 were published in the United States.
She was awarded the Bjørnson Scholarship in 2006, the Dobloug Prize in 2009, and the Sult Prize in 2009.
Her latest novel, Her kjem sola [Here Comes the Sun], was published in 2024.
